Emergency Alert System   (www.icinfo.org)

The ICI Office, being established in July with the generous backing of AOBA
and ARI, will immediately initiate an "EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM".

This EAS will send out notifications of emerging diseases, epidemics,
outbreaks, or issues that require immediate response.

The EAS will be separate and independent from the "Camelid News" bulletins
that are sent out by e-mail on a regular basis. The EAS messages will only
occur when there is a critical need.

To self-subscribe to EAS, send an e-mail. The structure of the e-mail must
be as follows:

To: listserver@lists.acs.ohio-state.edu
NO SUBJECT
message: subscribe camelideas Firstname Lastname

To self-subscribe to Camelid News, send an e-mail. The structure of the
e-mail must be as follows:

To: listserver@lists.acs.ohio-state.edu
NO SUBJECT
message: subscribe camelmed Firstname Lastname

DO NOT put anything in the subject line and do not put any other information
in the message. If you do the computer will kick it out. You will receive
notification of subscription via e-mail.

If self-subscription is chosen, it is advised to send an e-mail to
miesner.2@osu.edu to submit further contact information in case of e-mail
failure.
